These Terms govern your access to the BPT Academy Platform and all Services we provide.
By registering an account or purchasing Services, you confirm that:
If you do not agree, you must not use the Platform.
You must provide accurate, current information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for all activity under your account and must notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
PARENT AND GUARDIAN ACCOUNTS
Where you register on behalf of a child under 18, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian, you consent to the processing of the child’s data as described in our Privacy Policy, and you accept full responsibility for their use of the Platform. You manage the child’s profile — including their name, date of birth and photo — from your own account, and a child’s age group is always determined by their age.
For a child aged 12 or over, you may create a separate login for the child’s own use. That login remains under your management and responsibility, and carries no access to any payment feature: every payment for a child’s training is made by you, from your account. Enrolments, waiting list joins and lesson bookings you make on a child’s behalf bind you as the paying party under these Terms.
BPT Academy offers padel coaching programmes across Amateur (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced), Semi-Pro, Pro, Juniors (by age group), and Young Talents divisions.
We also offer private lessons with our coaches, booked through the Platform on a per-session or weekly recurring basis and subject to coach confirmation. Each coach sets their own lesson pricing, which may vary by lesson length, number of players, and peak or off-peak times. Programme availability, schedules, pricing, and capacity are subject to change at our discretion.
The Platform provides training videos, progress tracking and skill assessments, messaging, session scheduling, private lesson booking, monthly activity leaderboards, and tournament information as a convenience, subject to availability.
Enrolment in a programme is a binding agreement to participate and pay for that monthly cycle. Places are not guaranteed until confirmed and payment received.
Waiting list positions are allocated in registration order. BPT Academy does not guarantee conversion of a waiting list place to enrolment.
For monthly programmes, you will be notified of the deadline to confirm your place for the following month. Failure to confirm by the deadline may result in your place being offered elsewhere.
All fees are in GBP and inclusive of VAT where applicable. Payment is due in advance of programme commencement or session delivery. We accept card payments and bank transfers; we do not store your card details.
GROUP PROGRAMMES
Programme fees are a single one-off payment for the training cycle. Nothing renews automatically and no recurring charge is stored; when a cycle ends, you re-enrol in the app to keep your place for the next one. If you join part-way through a cycle, your payment is adjusted pro rata to the sessions remaining. You will always see the amount before confirming.
JUNIOR PROGRAMMES
Fees for junior programmes are paid by the child’s parent or guardian, by card through our payment provider. A junior’s place is confirmed once the parent’s payment is received.
PRIVATE LESSONS
Lessons are payable per session using the payment methods offered by your coach, which may include card, bank transfer, or cash. Where you pay by bank transfer, please confirm your payment in the app so your coach can track it.
Your place is not confirmed until payment is received and verified.
PRIVATE LESSONS
You — or, for a junior’s lesson, their parent or guardian — may cancel a booked lesson through the Platform up to 24 hours before its scheduled start time; any payment already made for that session will be refunded in full. Cancellations within 24 hours of the start time are non-refundable. Pending lesson requests can be withdrawn at any time before the coach confirms.
You may also request to reschedule a lesson through the Platform; the new time takes effect once accepted by the other party.
WEEKLY LESSON SERIES
Either you or your coach may cancel the remaining sessions of a weekly series at any time. The 24 hour rule above applies to the next upcoming session.
GROUP PROGRAMMES
Once a monthly group programme has commenced, no refunds will be issued for that cycle regardless of attendance. Cancelling a subscription stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
CANCELLATION BEFORE START
Cancellations before a programme commences may be eligible for a full or partial refund at our discretion.
CANCELLATION BY BPT ACADEMY
If we cancel a session, we will notify you promptly and provide a credit or refund for undelivered sessions. We are not liable for additional costs (e.g. travel) you incur.
To request a refund, contact office@bptacademy.uk. Eligible refunds are processed within 10 working days.
You agree to:
You must not use the Platform for any unlawful purpose, upload harmful content, impersonate others, or share your login credentials.
BPT Academy may suspend or terminate your account and remove you from programmes, without refund, for serious or persistent breach of these Terms.
By participating, you confirm you are medically fit for physical sporting activity. If you have any medical condition, injury, or disability that may affect safe participation, you must inform us before taking part.
Physical sporting activity carries inherent risks of injury. You accept that your participation is at your own risk.
BPT Academy holds appropriate public liability insurance. We strongly recommend all participants obtain their own personal accident insurance.
In the event of injury, inform the coach or a BPT Academy staff member immediately.
All content on the Platform — including training videos, programme materials, the BPT Academy name and logo, text, graphics, and software — is owned by or licensed to BPT Academy Limited.
You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any Platform content without our prior written consent.
BPT Academy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive loss or damage.
Our total aggregate liability to you shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to BPT Academy in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law.
Your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 are not affected.
You may close your account at any time by contacting office@bptacademy.uk or through the delete account option in the app. Closing a parent account also closes the child profiles and child logins linked to it. Closing your account does not entitle you to a refund of fees already paid.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we cease to operate the Platform.
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
Before commencing legal proceedings, we encourage you to contact us at office@bptacademy.uk to resolve any dispute informally.
We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes via the Platform or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
